Last week, members of the RoCCET Lab travelled to York University to take part in the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
The paper, “Cosplay and Consent: Discourses of Harassment in Fan Convention Policies,” was co-authored by Jing Bai, Shoshana Cohen, Kate Fedchun, Sarina McGillivray, Allison Norris, Jen Siushansian, and Benjamin Woo, and presented to the annual conference of the Canadian Communication Association.
The paper examined how a sample of 132 convention policies discursively constructed harassment.
